The DIANA Factory is positioned within the ecosystem of the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (Fraunhofer IZI) and complements its expertise in translational biomedicine with a focus on sustainable point-of-care diagnostics. While Fraunhofer IZI advances research in cell and gene therapy as well as bioanalytics, the DIANA Factory concentrates on rapid prototyping, paper-based tests and the practical implementation of diagnostic innovations.
As a Bayer Foundation Fellow, my work revolves around the intersection of Climate and Health and the rising impact of it on the primary healthcare system. Climate Financing, Risk modelling, and maternal health are also my areas of interest.
Health Action International (HAI) works to increase access to essential medicines and healthcare, globally, but specifically in LMICs. Our model is to gather evidence (publishable research) to inform multi-stakeholder platforms where target groups can meet duty bearers, private sector and engage in policy change. Rather than open 'shell' offices, we nurture young in-country talent to fulfil their potential. Never shy of the difficult, HAI takes on the seemingly impossible - think Snakebite!
Over the past 12 years at the Society for Family Health, I have led initiatives to enhance public health by expanding access to antiretroviral therapy, creating innovative prevention programs, and fostering equitable community partnerships. My commitment centers on amplifying the voices of those affected by health disparities, utilizing strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder collaboration to improve health outcomes for marginalized populations.
mTOMADY builds and implements technology to reduce financial barriers to healthcare. We Launched mTOMADY in Madagascar in 2019. Since then, our digital platform for health financing has emerged as the leading technology for healthcare financing in the country, and our programmatic efforts have expanded to include projects in Ghana, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Specialized Program for Infectious Disease Care Everywhere (SPICE) connects hospitals with a global registry of multidisciplinary experts. We accelerate quality infectious disease care by sharing knowledge through tailored free-of-charge online and on-site mentorship.
